Facilities:
Squaw Valley is a Premiere ski resort. The Squaw Valley resort boasts a cable car carrying you 8,100 feet above the Valley floor, ice skating rink, large swimming pool, river rafting, hiking areas, horseback riding, ropes course, climbing wall, fishing, pizza shop, and much more. The wrestling facility is a huge, all-weather, tent pavilion, providing each athlete with a fresh and exciting outdoor/indoor environment. The camp wrestling store will include a variety of items including: clothing, videos, food, equipment, and other related items.
Living Accommodations:
During the summer months, the Squaw Valley Hostel and adjacent areas convert into a sports camp particularly well suited for summer wrestling camps. All wrestlers and facilities are supervised 24 hours a day. Each wrestler will be assigned sleeping areas at check-In. The Hostel also includes a TV room, a lounge, and video games.
Meals:
Meals will be prepared and served by a local restaurant. An exceptional menu with a wide assortment of foods will be prepared fresh, with unlimited helpings sure to satisfy any wrestler's appetite.
What to bring:
Each Camper should bring hygiene items, sleeping bag, towel, pillow, pillow case, wrestling shoes, workout gear, socks, supporters, and any other accessories. E.g., Alarm clock, flashlight, etc…
Acceptance packages:
After the application is processed, you will receive the acceptance package by mail or email at the end of May. This package will include vital information about check-in through check-out. If you would like to download the forms, please go to Summer Camp Application and download forms.
Supervision provided between Sessions:
Athletes are invited to stay over for as many sessions as they feel will benefit their progress. Although it is not required, accommodations (lodging and meals daily) for males only, as well as supervision are available at a fee of $50 per day between sessions. Female athletes are welcome as commuters only.
Cancellation Policy:
Notice of cancellation must be received in writing by July 1, 2008 in order to receive a refund of the registration fee less the $100 non-refundable deposit. No refunds will be given after July 1, 2008. Substitutions will be accepted with advanced notice or credit will be given with medical verification.
Health Insurance:
All participants in the Hitchcock/ Azevedo Wrestling Camp will be covered by secondary, accident insurance provided by the camps tuition. This policy in non-duplicating and covers medical expenses that are within the range of its limits, except for those costs covered by other valid and collectible insurance policies.
No individual or group will be allowed to wrestle
without a signed parent authorization form with medical policy information
listed. This form may be found on the application page under downloads.
